This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly.
Official Records and Custody Contacts
The Bureau County Sheriff's Office is the first official contact for current county jail custody and county booking records. Its public directory names Kelly Peterson as Records and Rebecca Gosch as Jail Administrator. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; those office hours do not describe when jail intake occurs.

Choose the source that matches the question:
- For a booking record or photograph, follow the request steps on the Bureau County recent-arrests home page or contact Sheriff's Records.
- For a newly reported arrest, use Arrested Today; Bureau County does not publish an official same-day web feed.
- For a multi-day news trail, use Arrest Reports and remember that news coverage is not exhaustive.
- For release or transfer notices, use Illinois VINE or call the jail when no matching record appears.
- For a police report, contact the arresting agency in Princeton, Spring Valley, or De Pue rather than assuming the jail holds it.
- For a filed case or disposition, contact the Bureau County Circuit Clerk at 815-872-2001 or dreglin@bureaucounty-il.gov.
- For sentenced state custody, use the Illinois Department of Corrections locator; federal and immigration custody require the BOP or ICE locator.
The Sheriff cannot replace a municipal police report, and the Circuit Clerk cannot confirm a jail intake. Give the office a full name, narrow date range, agency, and case or booking number when known.
